A potential injury concern has emerged from Liverpool recent friendly, but early signs suggest there may be no cause for alarm.
There were concerns when Trey Nyoni was substituted in the 67th minute of Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Athletic Club.
The 18-year-old, who had started the game at centre-back as part of a youthful lineup, appeared to be in some discomfort as he made way for academy teammate Tommy Pilling.
The early signs pointed towards a potential hamstring issue — the kind of setback that could interrupt his promising preseason involvement with the senior squad.
However, a day later, Nyoni was spotted participating in a recovery session at the AXA Training Centre, working on Peloton bikes alongside other players.
While the club has not officially confirmed his fitness status, the footage suggests there’s no major concern for the teenager.

Trey Nyoni wasn’t the only player to draw attention during the friendly clash.
Thankfully, early signs point to nothing serious — his issue is believed to be cramp rather than injury.
Like Nyoni, Stephenson was also seen with the squad during Tuesday’s session.
Liverpool do, however, face a few other injury concerns elsewhere in the squad.
Head coach Arne Slot confirmed the news in his pre-match interview with LFCTV.
With just 20 players allowed in the matchday squad at Wembley, the Community Shield will give fans a clearer picture of Slot’s early-season thinking.
